The holiday season is strongly associated with some very specific colors—namely red and green if you celebrate Christmas, or a bright shade of blue if you’re celebrating Hanukkah. (Shout out to the calendars for lining them up perfectly this year.) Silver and white also feel particularly wintry, but Christina Aguilera is making a strong case for adding pink to our holiday traditions by debuting a fun—and arguably festive—new hair color.
The superstar vocalist posted a fabulous carousel of photos to her Instagram grid on Christmas showing her enjoying the holiday in every imaginable way: enjoying candy canes out of a martini glass (as one does), posing with a peppermint-esque throw pillow (the usual!), modeling a puffy red and white striped jacket, enjoying champagne on an inflatable sled atop a hill of snow, sliding down said hill, enjoying more champagne on the sled at the bottom of said hill (glad she made it down OK—I was worried), posing with flowery desserts that spell out her name, and generally looking like a gorgeous snow bunny.
But instead of her usual long, blonde waves, Aguilera’s aesthetic now includes straight, bubblegum pink strands. Her hair seems to nearly reach her waist and steals the show in every picture—a feat considering her beauty look also features an incredible red-tipped, bow-bedazzled French manicure and extra-long lashes.
