La DoubleJ Pre-Fall 2025 Collection

If your next summer vacation plans include exploring Italy—whether it’s the charm of Venice, the beauty of Ravello and the Amalfi Coast, or the rugged allure of Pantelleria—LaDoubleJ has your wardrobe covered. As JJ Martin puts it, they’ll have you styled “from espresso in the piazza to aperitivo in the palazzo.”

The “vibration-raising” pre-fall wardrobe offered, as usual, an expansive range of versatile day-to-night pieces with relaxed, flattering silhouettes, all made from light, airy fabrics. Martin played on a more pared-down, youthful vibe, swapping the abundance of ruffles for macramé lace in subtle hues, introducing solid colors for layering, and adding simple linen corduroy pajama sets with a masculine touch for variety.
Textures such as terry cloth, crochet, windowpane lace, embroidered denim, and jacquard matelassé provided a contrast to the play on imaginative patterns that is at the energetic core of LDJ. “They’re the life force of the brand,” remarked Martin. However, this season she appeared to embrace a mood of (mild) simplification.

“When the world feels overwhelming with distractions—be it geopolitical tensions, education, or widespread inequalities—my instinct is to turn inward and clean up my space, both physically and energetically,” she explained. “Simplification becomes my tool: clearing out my closet, streamlining my relationships, cutting away what no longer serves me, and focusing on what feels pure and strong.”

The outside world may indeed feel uncertain and daunting, but finding joy and connecting with your own happiness—whether by slipping into a vibrant LDJ sundress adorned with a mosaic print or a flowing party frock in emerald green Chantilly lace—“should never be a source of guilt,” said Martin. We couldn’t be more in agreement. “If I can provide people with experiences and products that uplift them and elevate their energy, then my job is done—that’s all I want. Basta.”
